Catching public transport
Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.
The School Student Transport Scheme (SSTS) gives eligible school students free or subsidised travel between home and school on NSW public transport, including trains, buses, ferries and light rail. Eligible cards are automatically updated for the new school year, so you will only need to apply if you are:
- applying for a school travel pass for the first time
- changing name, school and/or address, or
- requesting an additional pass as a result of a new shared parental responsibility situation.

Driving and parking
The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.
When driving and parking near our school, please:
- ensure you park safely in school zones, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
- follow speed signs
- do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school
- do not park in the bus bay
- be a good role model for your child when walking, riding and crossing roads to school
- never call your child from across the road
- use the flagged crossing to cross the road.
There is on street parking available across the road from the school on Cambridge Crescent. Or, you may choose to park at Captain Oldrey Park and collect your child from our back gate.
Train Street Central has requested that parents do not use their car park as this is for their customers only.
